Conception is such a conundrum in this day and age that when we set out
to crack it, we get a heapful of advice from every quarter but very little
substance in that advice. So, old mothers, elderly ladies and yesteryear
maternity trendsetters will line up to tell you tips, tricks, stories, fads,
myths and hearsay. All well meaning one would say. The only problem is
none of that is scientifically proven or backed by clinical research.
Nevertheless all of us are curious to know if there are sex positions to
increase the possibility of getting pregnant.
Gynaecologist, Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility specialist
with Reproductive Medicine Associates of Connecticut (RMACT) Joshua
Hurwitz affirms, "There's no magic way to get the sperm and the egg
together and to ensure that happening." He adds: "There are a lot of urban
legends floating around out there that do a disservice to couples, because
they feel like they're not doing it right, and that's why they're not getting
               pregnant."
