Maheshwar is a city in Khargone District of Madhya Pradesh state,in central India. The
city lies on the north bank of the Narmada river. Maheshwar famous for its fort and
its numerous temples are also highlights of the townscape. The site had a historical
background, my aim was to design that suits the place and which does not loses its
cultural background. The campus was designed such that elements of maheshwar like
balustrades,pargolas,colonnades,arcades, etc. The two spaces have been connected by
passages which have been covered by pargolas which create an interesting light and
shadow pattern.
