        (Intercom) Yes, sir.

                                                         TALCOFF
        (To himself) Shapiro, we‘re even.

(Benny enters just as Talcoff‘s phone rings)

                                                         TALCOFF
(Listens) Uh-huh. (Listens) I see…uh-huh. (Listens) No. (Hangs up)

                                                             N
Benny‘s struggling to balance a bulging scrap book, folder full of sheet music, pair of vaudeville
posters, and a small easel. He unloads everything onto the couch as Talcoff steps around his desk to
        greet him.

                                                         TALCOFF
Mister Benjamin Rosen, Junior! Marvin Talcoff, VP of Primetime Development.

                                                             N
Talcoff motions Benny to a chair, and sits back behind his desk as the phone rings again.

                                                         TALCOFF
(Listens) Uh-huh. (Listens) I see…uh-huh…uh-huh… (Listens) No. (Hangs up) As I live and breathe
…the kid who played the Palace ….
