            Growing up, my grandmother was from a big  a time they had to share one bowl of noodles with
            family. She was the eldest of her siblings, so  about ten people.
            she had  to do most of the  household chores. Her
            chores included ironing,  sweeping, caring for  My grandmother always told me I was lucky to
            her younger siblings  and washing clothes.  In  have only one sibling. Not that she disliked them,
            addition, whenever her siblings were sick, she had  but at least I did not have to share my food with
            to take care of them while doing her homework.       many people. She also taught me to appreciate

            My grandmother’s  family was poor  and had to
