Zhi Cheng began his career at DBS Bank, where
he specialised in capital markets, structuring
transactions, and advising on real estate investment
trusts and business trusts. He holds a Bachelor of
Arts in Economics from the National University of
Singapore and completed the Enterprise Leadership
for Transformation programme at NUS Business
School.

Beyond business, Zhi Cheng has made significant
contributions to community development and youth
empowerment. At NUS, he serves on the Alumni
Student Advancement Committee and initiated
the NOC Alumni Bursary Fund, which raised over
S$450,000 to support financially disadvantaged
students.

An influential leader across heritage institutions and
community organisations, Zhi Cheng was elected
as the youngest Singaporean — and the youngest
President in the Club’s history since Singapore’s
independence — to lead the Tanglin Club, one of
Singapore’s oldest private members’ clubs. During his
tenure, he championed governance reform, digital
transformation, facilities renewal, and stronger
