placed at the beginning of the sentence.
きのう 田中さんが ケーキを 作りました。
‘Tanaka-san made a cake yesterday.’
田中さんが ケーキを 作りました。
‘Tanaka-san made a cake also yesterday (e.g., in addition to today).’
きのう ケーキを 作りました。
‘Tanaka-san, too (e.g., in addition to Yoshida-san), made a cake yesterday.’
きのう 田中さんが 作りました。
‘Tanaka-san made a cake also (e.g., in addition to dinner), yesterday.’
2 よく ‘frequently’
よく is used to describe and inquire about frequency of an action or event.

1. よくえいがを見ますか。
2. コンピューターをよく使います。 3. よくここでパーティーがあります。
‘Do you often watch movies?’
‘I often use computer.’
‘There are parties here frequently.’
ケーキも
