Overview of ideal in the school context
Inclusivity is practiced in the school; no learner is left at
a disadvantage.
The classroom sizes are intimate and manageable,
there are a maximum of 20 learners in a class, which
allows for learners to be given a sort of individual
attention.
A challenge lies in identifying underlying problems that
are keeping students from learning.
Divorce, single parents, violence and many other
issues are all challenges a student brings to school
daily.
Bullying is an issue and challenge that has a profound
impact on the learning aptitude of many students.
Technology has given bullies even more avenues to
torment their victims – through social media, texting
and other virtual interactions. Cyberbullying is a major
issue.
There is no happy medium with parent involvement,
parents are quick to complain yet are of no avail
when it comes to collaborating with teachers to assist
learners.
