Overheard a man in the chemists complaining to the
assistant of aches n pains, she asked him what he wanted
from her and I didn't hear what he asked for but she
exclaimed, "We don't do THAT sort of thing here Sir!"

I am REALY struggling today. Even the smallest task
seems frightening and insurmountable I've had a
mountain of ironing waiting for a week - not even
waiting for me to muster up the energy to do it, but just
for me to muster up the where-with-all to carry it to the
ironing shop! Or ring them to fetch it! My flat looks like a
3 roomed jumble sale & I've spent the past hour
mustering up the strength & courage to take the bin bags
down the stairs and out to the bins!

This was truly gleaming & sparkling in the sunlight when I
got up the other morning - just like the sky scrapers do in
New York. It really reminds me of being there -
especially when it shines while I'm brewing fresh coffee!

An entire day of trying to get warm...and failing, (Hot
drinks, layers of clothes, a shawl, moving around,
rubbing hands together & a constant, unwinnable battle
of switching the almost completely useless wall heater on
& off & on & off to maximise its minimal short bursts
