lsewhere in this edition of Into The Vale you can read a match
Ereport from Tuesday night’s win but suffice to say, Raynes
Park were immense. Let’s make sure that we go as far as we can.
If anyone needed convincing of how far Raynes Park Vale has
come as a supported football club a visit on Tuesday night would
have done the job. It has been a real privilege to see queues at
the turnstile on chilly midweek evenings, the pitch looking great
under the new lights, hearing the music and good crowds and
seeing so many supporters, both home and away, enjoying a great
night of football and socialising. Not only did we get a great result
but as results came in from other matches it became clear that
this fantastic league was determined to keep the excitement all
the way through to season’s end! It was also great to see John
‘Cookie’ Cook in command for Knaphill - a great management leg-
end who is always welcome at Grand Drive! Speaking of promo-
tion dreams... As a post-script to this column more results from
Wednesday confirm my belief about the quality of competition in
this league with both Colliers Wood and Balham inflicting defeats
on Jersey Bulls and Beckenham. Special congratulations to these
two teams as our South London neighbours!
oday, of course we welcome one of those neighbours, Balham
TFC, and, as ever, I look forward to meeting as many of you as
          possible.

                                         Chairman, Raynes Park Vale F.C.
