After the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein gained its administrative independence through the law of
administration of Holy Shrines and Sites in 2005, it started to expand its projects in all aspects of life:
culture, education, architecture, religion, media and charity. The main idea was to compensate for
the chaos and ruin left behind by the past dictatorial regimes that desecrated the Holy Shrines and
transform them into an international hub for all nations and religions.
However, due its greatness, the real message of Imam Hussain requires more efforts to be reflected in
the correct manner. It was the Holy Shrine’s responsibility to adopt this message in the way that best
serves humanity.
The Holy Shrine’s media focuses, in this publication, on the major projects executed under the
sponsorship of the Holy Shrine all for the purpose of restoring the holy landmark and serving its
beloved pilgrims.
