           I     slam has become the second largest religion in Germany after


                 Christianity. There are an estimated 4.2 million believers of foreign
                 origin living in Germany, mainly from Afghanistan, Algeria, Bosnia-

          Herzegovina, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Morocco, Pakistan, Tunisia, and Turkey.
          It is also estimated that there are about 150,000 Muslims of German origin.
