If you’d like to sample some home-made jams, preserves and Cayman specialty foodstuffs, all made from local produce, then make a beeline for the Market at the Grounds where you’ll get a real sense of Caymanian history and heritage by meeting the farmers, artisans and craftspeople who gather, early on Saturday mornings, to sell the fruits of their labour. The Grounds is a 30-acre multi-use complex in Lower Valley, Bodden Town, about 10 miles from George Town. Well worth the trip. The Market is open from 7am to noon on Saturdays.
