The Grand Caymanian Resort is a true gem
Long before expansion on the Eastern side of the Seven Mile Beach corridor, few leisurely pursuits existed outside of a golf course and The Grand Caymanian Resort. Tucked away in Crystal Harbour, this impressive resort sat perched along the Safe Haven Golf Course—the only 18-hole course on Grand Cayman—making The Grand Caymanian the place to be twenty years ago.
Since then, The Grand Caymanian has faced the challenge
of rapid development and a global economic crash. Undaunted, the resort now flourishes, rising stately among some of the finest homes in Grand Cayman and its neighbouring Camana Bay. This

Calm waters and gentle sloping sands at Rum Point
Hire a car for the pretty drive that will take you from your base
on Seven Mile Beach all the way through George Town, Bodden Town and up to North Side, about a 40 to 45 minute drive. As you head up to North Side, you will pass the entrance to the queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park. This is an impressive park that nature- lovers will want to enjoy, with its special features such as the Colour Garden, Heritage Garden and beautiful Orchid Boardwalk.
Alternatively you can take a ferry from Camana Bay and head directly for Rum Point. This is an idyllic spot particularly enjoyed
by locals at the weekend, as they moor their boats in the calm, clear waters and head for the hammocks, gentle sloping sands and fabulous cocktails that this location offers.
At the end of this little peninsular lies the beautiful Cayman Kai, with gorgeous waterfront homes dotting the coastline all the way along. Spot the house names there that speak to the location itself, with names like ‘Cayman Staid’ and ‘Flip Flop Kai’ (though, really, no shoes are necessary!) At the end of the road lies a stunning destination all to itself – the Kaibo marina and restaurant.
