Flynn scores crucial for All-Ireland champions

JASOn Flynn scored
1-9 as Galway claimed a six-point win over dublin to continue their push for promotion to division
1A of the nHL, with a comfortable victory at
Parnell Park.
Paul Winters scored 0-9 for dublin
but they were second best throughout and they trailed the reigning league and All- ireland champions by 0-13 to 1-5 at half-time.
dublin reduced the margin to just two points on a couple of occasions, but Flynn’s 57th minute goal put the game beyond doubt, before Galway took over in the latter stages again.

Galway registered 15 wides in total as they continued to find their feet, despite three straight wins prior to this in the league.
Galway raced into a 0-9 to 0-2 lead after just 24 minutes, when dublin looked in real trouble. And Flynn, who was a late addition to the starting 15, scored four points to help the visitors on their way.
Winters tagged on a couple of frees but with Galway scoring four points in a row they held what already looked like an unassailable 0-13 to 0-4 lead moving towards half-time.
dublin were desperate for a goal before the interval but that duly arrived in injury-time. danny Sutcliffe caught a high delivery, raced through a shaky Galway rearguard, before blasting low past James Skehill.
dublin hit 1-1 in that period and they were five points behind at half-time, but it seemed inevitable that Galway would not be thwarted here.
