Determine business purpose. What are we about? What is our model?
Then there was the guts of the plan: the tasks, ownership, priorities, timeframes.
It was simple and not too onerous. There was a lot more detail behind these things and other goals outside this 90-day goal for later, but we needed success early.
Let’s analysis this.
It starts with systems. Systems got written up. Job descriptions are also part of systems and recruitment. The owners employ an office person who now has systems to follow. Writing up the systems gives clarity to the job description. The office person starts to free the owners up, so they can work more on the business, which includes better reporting and heading towards a faster Profit and Loss.
Better data means better decision making. They put together a plan for the seasonal product for more sales and taking advantage of the season. They put some performance controls and monitoring in place.
Then they head towards determining their model and what they are all about, though there would be more brainstorming over the next three months.
I cannot state enough how simple this module is. It took 90 minutes of brainstorming as a team and 90 minutes to throw it together.
The Success Module would be revisited weekly and thereafter further out. After the first 90 days, the Success Module will look a lot different, as the next stages kick in.
The owners were stoked and excited at the positive energy and now have some sort of plan going forward.
What other system could do the same in that time?
