Set your business up to be able to say no by being able to make a commercial decision without emotion. The Simple Rules referred to in this book (see Part 2: Chapter 2.4) is a tool to help you say no, for example writing rules around what sort of work you do.
Paulism: It is the things you don’t do in life that make you successful. Don’t be everything to everyone. Set a platform to be able to say no by being able to make a commercial decision without emotion. Stick to your knitting and what you are good at.
3.3.5 Quotes
It is very important that you are clear when giving quotes what you are actually quoting for. You need to make sure the terms are in your favour and put tags (conditions) into your quotes to cover issues that may occur and what are your conditions of sales. A few examples are:
