The collegiate architecture has been an expression of Princeton University firmly rooted at the architecture of Oxford and Cambridge’s universities. It was considered as an appropriate and rational way of building, Whitman College continues this tradition.
The new college is designed to be permeable, accommodating established routes across the campus. It is arranged alongside three courts and derives inspiration from the Graduate College. The demonstrated attention to detail, the finely crafted interiors of the principal communal spaces are firmly within the tradition of the collegiate architecture of Princeton University. Our Whitman College furthers this tradition that has permanent value and perpetual modernity connecting past and present.
The new college provides residential accommodation for over five hundred students as well as communal facilities, including dining hall, library,
