your line is inverted, tape a copy of it to your chest and stand in front of a
mirror; this helps! Your knob knot is now complete—for the most part.
You need to double the knot in order to add richness and bulk. To do this, turn
the piece over so the eye is facing up. Lay any strand along the same path as the
one above it and to its right; tuck each strand twice. Repeat this for the
remaining two strands and the knot will look like illustration C. You’ll want to
use the Swedish fid for this doubling procedure. The tool opens a smooth
passage for the strands so that you won’t find yourself fussing with snagged
yarns.
