My Inspiration
My grandpa Richard Soderstrom is an amazing and caring person. He is very close to me and an important part of my life. He is a great role model to look up to because he is so happy and positive all of the time. My whole family looks up to him because of the way he looks at life. He cares for his family very much and spends a lot of his time with them. I feel like my grandpa is the right person to honor for the Life Legacy Project because he has done so much with his life and he is a very special individual. He has had many different experiences in his life that make him the person who he is today.
Overall my grandpa is simply a very caring person. As a child, he had a lot of energy to play sports but at home, he was a very good child who didn’t get in trouble very much. He is really special because he has gone through a lot in his life. As an adult, he has raised my mom and uncle, worked for many different jobs such as the Coast Guard, the Yakima community, Boing, and Transamerica. Right now he is working for his real estate company on his 47th year. He is very happy with his girlfriend, Randi and all of his family. He loves to work outside on his yard and mow the lawn and other yard work. One of his favorite things to do is watch sports. He really gets serious when he watches sports. One of his favorite things to say for example, when the team he’s rooting for messes up is, “That's ridiculous”. My grandpa is just a very interesting person, he has done so much in his life and it’s really amazing how much he has done. He has so much love in his heart. He is one of the most loving people that I know because he just has a love for everyone that he meets. His heart is also full of hope he has lots of hope with everyone we meet and he always thinks the best of people.
My grandpa has really affected the people around him in a positive way. He has made a difference in the community because he can always put a smile on anyone's face that he meets. He has made a difference in my life because he can always make me feel better when I am feeling down. A lot of the time he will tell a very funny joke to make me laugh and feel so much better. He is special to me because he is always cheerful and really funny. Richard has learned a lot of life lessons in life such as having more patience towards things that are hard and dealing with people in a better way to make them happier. He has also learned a lot about his job and working in real estate over the years also. His message for the future is to make sure that everyone is happy and healthy and living the best life that they can. My grandpa has made an amazing impact on the world. He is a really positive role model to everyone he meets and everyone can learn something from him. He has really earned his respect from everyone he meets by working hard in life because he is one of the most hard working people that I know.
I am honoring my grandpa because he is a very special person in my life and many other people’s lives. He has gone through so much in his life such as watching my mom and uncle grow up into adults, working really hard at his job, and being there for his family. I am also honoring my grandpa because he is such a loveable and loving person and he is just so caring and nice. He has done so much hard work in his life and even to this day he still works really hard. He hopes for the best in the world and other people. He is always thinking about other people that he cares about and how he can help them. I love my grandpa very much and I am really happy that I was able to interview him for this project. He is such an amazing person and I am so honored that he is my grandpa.
