Throughout Life Nancy Forth
I interviewed my grandma because she encourages me to work harder and do better at everything I do. I interviewed my grandma Nancy Forth. She's the grandma from my mom's side. I am honoring this person because she has helped benefit our family and helps us out in our times of need. She is 69 years old and was born on May 22, 1947, in Enterprise, Oregon.
Nancy was an only child that lived on a farm. Her life was very simple. Surprisingly she did not have anyone she looked up to. Her biggest dreams as a child were to become an adult. Her favorite job was machine bookkeeping.
She thought that the best thing about being a parent was seeing her children grow up to become adults. The happiest moment of her life was when she gave birth to her daughter, my mom. Nancy’s favorite family tradition is Christmas. Her favorite thing about it was when everyone got together and everyone got to enjoy the time as one.
Nancy's average day involves getting up, eating, exercising, feeding her cats, varies from there, good lunch around noon, if good weather go outside, evenings bookkeeping, at least about 10:00 pm watch tv, then it starts up again. My grandmas strongest desire is to be a good wife, good grandmother and win the lottery so she can share her wealth.
When I asked her If you had one wish what would it be she said ¨To have a health long life, to enjoy your family¨ and when I asked why she said ¨Who wouldn't?¨ Some things that she hears on a daily basis are trains and appliances (such as electric fire, refrigerator, coffee maker, etc.)
Things that my grandma witnesses in the world around her are more drama, stupid people, less help, lots of negativity, most of this stuff she says occurred in the news. The best advice anyone has ever given her is never give up, set your goals and set them high. Don't say things that you don't mean.
The most important things in her life are good health and family. The piece of advice she gave me was the same advice that was given to her. But she also said, “Don't let anyone tell you what you can and cannot do.”
When I asked her what is one thing that you learned now that you wish you knew when you were younger? She responded with ¨Nothing free, you have to work hard for everything, work for your goal, be cautious.”
The way that this person has benefited my family is by allowing us to go on vacations, and helping us sometimes with financial issues, and just being there overall. The thing that I admire most about Nancy is the fact that they care if I’m doing good in school and that they pressure me to be the best I can be and to try hard.
I admire that they can help me correct myself when I have done something wrong. A thing that I learned about Nancy when conducting this interview is that she loves her daughter more than her sons. I learned that she is more proud of her than her other children. The reason I chose this person to interview is because there is so much she does for me and my family and she just needs to be acknowledged.
