The Association’s 2019 Board of Directors will be announced on November 13
th
during the board meeting. Your leadership team is looking for members who
have a desire to serve our industry and our association. Nominations will be
accepted through August 31 . Nominate a fellow member or nominate yourself.

This month, we are featuring three members who have been actively involved
Kristi Sutterfield with GSABA and want to share why they dedicate their time, talent and resources
Executive Vice President to the Association.

“ It has been my honor to serve on the GSABA Board of Directors the last two years. I believe as a

member of the Board, I have a responsibility to give back to our industry.
It has been a pleasure working with our student chapters at UTSA and St. Phillips. I belong to the
Young Professionals Leadership Council and if you are under 45, come to our next meeting. It is
a great way to get involved!”

“ I have been a member of GSABA for two years and have had the privilege to attend several events

and meetings. Shortly after I joined, I was part of the 2016 Rally Day in Austin. We traveled to the
State Capitol to meet with our elected officials on critical issues facing the home building industry.
Not only did these face-to-face meetings make a big impact on me personally, it made me proud
to be a member, as our Association was at the forefront fighting for our members and addressing
obstacles to homeownership.
I have worked on several committees and it has been rewarding to me personally and professionally,
but more importantly GSABA has given me a “family” that I care a great deal about. If you haven't
gotten involved, the best way you can is to attend membership mixers and participate on one of the
”

“ Since 1985, Keith Zars Pools has been a member of the Greater San Antonio Builders Association

(GSABA). We have affiliations with several local and national Associations and our relationship with
GSABA has flourished over the years.
We support the Association for many reasons. Being a member is an excellent opportunity to
network with members in the industry and build lifetime relationships. Our company builds pools for
many of the Builders in San Antonio and I have met several through GSABA. We have also built pools
for Associate members and we value each client and strive to deliver an exceptional experience.
Keith Zars Pools has sponsored and volunteered at numerous events throughout the years. The
investment is well worth it, and I would urge any member or new member to do the same. We are

If you are interested in serving a three-year term on the GSABA Board of Directors, please call me
to learn more about serving on the board and how it can benefit your career. It is an honor and a
privilege to be part of the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors usually meets on the third Tuesday
of each month during lunch. We will be electing four builder members and two associate members.
