What a Fall Line Up!

School is back in full swing. Fall is in the air. Football is finally here!

I want to share our upcoming Fall Class Series with you this month. We have an incredible
line up of construction, sales and safety classes on the calendar. The staff has done an
exceptional job in securing national speakers with very relevant topics.

There are two classes you will not want to miss. Gord Cooke, President of Building
Knowledge and a sought-after national trainer will be presenting “Building and Selling High
President Jeff Buell and his son, Rhett. Performance Homes” at the Association on Wednesday, September 18 from 9:00 am to 1:00

Rhett is a Senior at Reagan High pm with a live demo at a home under construction near the Association from 2:00 pm to 3:00

On October 9 at 11:30am, Don Shelton is back by popular demand to present the new Texas Association of Builders Contracts
Package. This contract package is only available to builder/remodeler members of the Texas Association of Builders (TAB). Every
member of the Greater San Antonio Builders Association (GSABA) is a member of TAB and the National Association of Home Builders

(NAHB).
The TAB contracts subscription is your blueprint for typical construction and remodeling transactions in the State of Texas. The
package of contracts and related addenda is a fantastic value and can save you thousands of dollars in legal fees. The subscription
includes any needed updates that may occur during the two-year cycle.

TAB’s updated contracts package is available for purchase online on September 3, 2019. Unlike other contracts packages, this
package reflects the most recent mandates coming out of the 2019 Texas Legislative Session and the package has been be updated to
include needed clarifications, various improvements and greater ease of use.

GSABA Builders and Remodelers members, you can purchase your two-year subscription atTexasBuilders.org. Make plans to

attend the class taught by Don Shelton with Bush, Rednicki and Shelton on October 9 , lunch will be served. Even if you don’t need
to purchase the contracts package, the class is a wealth of information on the verbiage and notices you should have in place when
executing contracts on specs, build jobs, build on your own lot options, and more.

I want to personally thank our members who have helped make these classes possible. Our Presenting Partner for all education and
