A Debt of Gratitude

November is one of my favorite months of the year. Cooler weather is here, football is in full
swing and Thanksgiving is right around the corner. As I reflect on the past year, I am very
grateful for all that our members do for our home building industry and the Association.

November is Associate Appreciation Month and we will host Casino Night on Thursday,
November 7th at 6:00 pm in the GSABA Ballroom. This incredible event is one way we honor
our Associate members and thank them for all they do and the many contributions they

I want to thank Bryan Lee, Wanda Herber and the Building Believers Committee for hosting
the Annual Thanksgiving Military Luncheon. This year the Luncheon will be held on Friday, November 22nd at GSABA. For the
past several years, Building Believers has hosted this Thanksgiving luncheon for over 200 military trainees from our military
bases in San Antonio. Most of these trainees are away from home for the first time and this luncheon allows them to have a true

Thanksgiving feast prepared by our Building Believers Committee, GSABA members, and large network of volunteers.
I am very grateful for the outpouring of financial support from our Board of Directors and GSABA members for this special
luncheon. If you have not participated, I invite you to volunteer as we honor these young men and women who serve our country.
We still need food & supply donations as well as monetary donations. If you can contribute any of these items for the Military
Luncheon or would like to volunteer, please call GiGi Weck at 210-696-3800.

Please mark your calendars for the first Legislative Luncheon that will be co-hosted by GSABA and the San Antonio Board
of Realtors (SABOR) on Tuesday, November 19th from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Security Service Federal Credit Union Corporate

Headquarters Event Center, located at 15000 IH-10. Thank you to Security Service Federal Credit Union for being our Presenting
Partner for this new event. Join us as we hear from Senator Donna Campbell, Senator Jose Menendez, Representative Steve
Allison and Representative Ina Minjarez.
They will discuss what transpired in the 86th Legislative Session and what is on the horizon for 2020.

Save the date for our Gala and Awards Banquet that will be held at the Pearl Stable on December 5th at 6:00 pm. We will install
President-Elect Jeff Czar with Century Communities as your 2020 GSABA President along with the 2020 Board of Directors as well
as recognize several key GSABA members.

During the Gala event, we will also be giving away a new car from the North Park Family of Dealerships. GSABA members
who have recruited new members into the Association over the past 12 months will be entered in this drawing—but you must be
