Some of the topics referred to in this session concern
High Court proceedings and directions which a Judge
would ordinarily give to a jury.
However, these directions are of broad applicability to
Magistrates who ought to take them into account in
assessing the evidence in a case which would in turn
be reflected in their reasons, whether oral or written.
