WHEN MAY AN ACCUSED BE COMPELLED TO ANSWER QUESTIONS
RELATING TO HIS BAD CHARACTER?
- RELEVANT ONLY TO CREDIBILITY
[1] Where the accused or by his advocate give evidence of his own good
character.
[2] Imputations on the character of the prosecutor or the witnesses for the
prosecution.
The Accused must give evidence so that the prosecution is able to cross-
examine him.
