Financial Longevity
moving your life to the next level
Discussing money is a taboo subject in many families. This subject must be
discussed at a young age for better understanding. I still don’t understand
why it’s not part of grade school and high school curriculum. As parents, we
must discuss with our children the positive and negative experiences we have
had dealing with money. Understand spending habits, budgeting, saving, and
planning for the future is a learned behavior.
Recently in a store I overheard a mother and daughter talking. The little girl
wanted her mother to buy her something. The mother replied that she didn’t
have any money. The little girl responded to her mom that all she had to do was
to get it from the (ATM) machine or swipe her plastic card. I thought to my self
that’s perfect time to teach your child about personal cash flow.
Many of us tend to be comfortable with no progress in different stages in life. Not
realizing that through research, education and commitment you can change the
picture. The world of internet technology provides you with so much accurate
information on financial literacy.
The key to a better future is you. Always illuminate the road ahead toward
building economic empowerment and generational wealth. There is an old
saying: “Being rich won’t make you happy, but the thing is everyone wants to
find out for themselves”. LOL
Money knowledge is powerful but it requires action.
