TEAM OVERVIEW
The WA State Integrated Team has been selected from within the WAAFL (West Australian Amateur Football League) Integrated Football Program. This program is an Inclusive Football Program that has been running in WA Metro for the past seven years. Each of the nine participating teams were asked to nominate players first and foremost who they considered to be of good character and also possess above average skills to attend WA State Training. Head Coach, James Matkovich has a background with both the North Fremantle Amateur Football Club and South Fremantle WAFL FC.
The Team comprises a mix of first time State Representatives together with those who have previously represented the State at past carnivals. The WA team objectives are for players to give the best of themselves, be open to experiencing new and different opportunities and take back learnings to their club. While WA hope to secure some wins, win, lose or draw it is very much about how the team play rather than the result.
