HISTORY AND PROFESSIONAL FORMATION TIMELINE
A Living Chronicle: A Tapestry of People, Events and Institutions
                                                                                            Peter Martin, DC, becomes Dean of University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine (UBCNM) until 2004.
The National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, IL, a multidisciplinary university, renamed National University of Health Sciences (NUHS). This institution originated in 1906 in Davenport, IA,
as the National School of Chiropractic, moved to Chicago, IL, in 1908, and was renamed to National College of Chiropractic in 1920. Lindlahr’s School of Natural Therapeutics was amalgamated in 1926. The separately chartered National College of Drugless Physicians operated from 1930 to 1952; the Charter of this previously active drugless therapy/naturopathic program was reactivated in 2000.
Thomas Shepherd, DHA, becomes president of Bastyr University until 2004.
University of Western Sydney offers degree in naturopathy at publicly funded institution.

LEGISLATION AND PUBLIC POLICY
House of Lords Science and Technology Select Committee Report on Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) (UK) downgrades naturopathy to “Group 3: Alternative Disciplines” on grounds of insufficient “evidence of efficacy.”
