First International Foundations of Naturopathic Medicine (FNM) Editorial Retreat (Skamania Convocation) held at Skamania Lodge, WA; convenes fifty editors, naturopathic medicine agencies, students, authors, faculty, physicians, educators, scientists, leaders and experts to develop FNM textbook and naturopathic theory coherence. NCNM hosts. External thought
leaders include scientists Iris Bell, MD, PhD, Mary Koithan, RN, PhD, and Wayne Jonas, MD, PhD. FNM’s editorial team grows over time, becomes: eight Senior Editors P. Snider, ND (Executive Editor), J. Zeff, ND, LAc, J. Pizzorno, ND, S. Myers, ND, BMed, LAc, J. Sensenig, ND, R. Newman Turner, ND, DO, LAc, D. Warren, ND, and T. Kruzel, ND; M.B. Stargrove ND, LAc (Senior History Editor), A. Neil, MAP (Medical Editor), and K. Tenpa, MA (Production Editor); two Science Editors, and twenty-eight Associate, External,
and History Editors. Three hundred authors and seventy students from sixteen colleges, thirteen naturopathic medicine agencies, twelve countries and five continents engage in multi-generational codification initiative; four editorial codification retreats completed by 2015.
FNM Editors achieve consensus to develop formal naturopathic clinical science in Emunctorology. FNM researches, consolidates traditional and modern body of knowledge on emunctories for the first time in medical history: chapter, faculty review and curriculum. 1,100 participants through 2018.
