for Research in Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy (AYUSH), an autonomous organization under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare; tasked to conduct scientific research into branches of natural medicine
until 1978. During this period, development of naturopathy was governed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
