The acquisition of the City and Premier Touch competitions, and subsequent recording of team numbers from Season 2 2016,
has contributed significantly to the overall increase in adult competition team numbers. Team numbers across the rest of the
regions in Queensland remained steady for the most part, as unaffiliated models and opposition sports continued to have an
impact on social adult participation growth.
Three of the six Queensland regions recorded positive growth in junior participation in 2016.
