IT’S A BIRD, IT’S A PLANE, IT’S
CHRIS KELLY!
Chris Kelly has been teaching 7th Grade English at Albuquerque Academy since 2012. This year, Chris has taken on an additional role as the 7th Grade Dean for Students.
When Chris isn’t teaching, he is an officer and founding
member of a local superhero charity group called
Comic Crusaders for New Mexico (www.cc4nm.org).
According to Chris, CC4 NM’s mission is to bring a real
life superhero experience to its community, including
a special focus on the sick, disabled, and medically-
fragile children in need. As part of his service work
through this organization, Chris can be seen appearing in costume at charitable events and hospital (or other facility) visits. This work also includes being seen in public
to raise awareness of a cause or to support a community service event.
Chris says his goal as part of this group is to inspire positive change in the lives of the people in the community through costumed activities, events, and sightings. Whatever it may be, Chris and his fellow superheroes exist to help with a unique role among charity groups in bringing a “real life” superhero experience to children and families in New Mexico.
Way to go, Mr. Kelly. You are truly a super man!
