HAWKINS HAILE Scientific Studies have proven that:-
Direct reports of leaders who had received transformational leadership training perceived their Managers as having higher charisma, intellectual stimulation and individual consideration than those without training. In addition the direct reports had increased organisational commitment and there was some support that branch level financial indicators were also improved.
1996 Journal of Applied Psychology , J Barling & T Weber
The leadership development of this study included one two day group session and then 4 individual booster sessions on a monthly basis. This same process can be followed with our programmes or for those who have previously attended and have some leadership fundamentals in place the personal sessions can be started immediately.
At least two studies including experimental design have also indicated the importance of transformational leadership as a precursor to performance. Howell and Frost in 1989 found that students working under charismatic leaders demonstrated higher performance than those working under considerate leaders. The effects of charismatic leadership occurred regardless of productivity norms. Kirkpatrick and Locke (1986) conducted an experiment with Business Students three aspects of charismatic leadership, vision, vision implementation via task cues and communication style. Interestingly only vision and vision implementation via task cues affected followers performance outcomes and attitudes with the exception that leaders charismatic communication style influenced followers perceptions of charisma.
Our programmes look at three main elements in great detail, leadership skills, communication and functional skills. By combining these three areas we believe we provide the best springboard for our alumni who already include many leaders, board members and CEO’s in addition to those on that path.
