RGLSI   HEALTH   INSURANCE   SCHEME
A comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme of RGLSI was launched on 7t  h March, 2015 by M W The Grand Master in the presence of R W The Regional Grand Master. The Scheme was renewed during the year 2017 and 252 members have been covered during the year with 36 new additions to the previous year.
GENERAL
From the brief reports received from Daughter Lodges in the Region, the Board is happy to report that by and large the financial position of the Lodges is satisfactory. Past Masters and junior Brethren are evincing keen interest in the ceremonial working and the administration of Lodge. Peace, Love and Harmony as ever prevail among the Brethren. The newly consecrated Lodges are also active and functioning well. All the Lodges are also engaged in a wide range of charitable activities, inter Lodge visits,   etc.
The   Lodges   reflect   a   very   healthy   and   vibrant   growth   during   the   period.
8.    Report   on   Charitable   Trust   and   Masonic   Foundation
The Regional Grand Lodge of Southern India Charitable Trust made the following charities during the period   of   the   report:
Donation
Ø Rs.95,168.00 reimbursed to Lodge Gomantak No.248 Charitable Trust towards Goa Surplus amount received   from   GLI   Especial   Meet.
Ø Rs.7,40,247.00 reimbursed to Visakhapatnam Freemasons Hall Trust, Visakhapatnam towards their charity   project   from   the   surplus   received   for   the   conduct   of   Annual   Meet   2014   at   Visakhapatnam.
Ø Rs.2,50,000.00 to Lodge Kottayam No.245 towards their Community Health Centre Project at Kottayam   from   the   surplus   received   for   the   conduct   of   Annual   Meet   2017.
Scholarship
Ø Rs.1,50,000.00 to Lodge Pandyan No.49 towards NEET exam course for 20 Medical students conducted   by   them   (including   Lodge   contribution   of   Rs.75,000.00)
Ø Rs.51,400.00 to A. K. Arjun IIn  d year M.B.B.S. student recommended by Lodge Vijayanagar No.279 (including   Rs.26400/-   Lodge   contribution)
Ø Rs.37,500/- towards educational assistance to the children of RGL Staff (including Rs. 18,750/- contributed   by   R   W   Bro.   S.   Thirugnanamurthy   )
