market — there were three of us — they
started playing “Sweet Home Alabama.” I don't
know whether they saw our car tag or they just
loved the music, but it was in English and they
speak Spanish, so maybe it was for our benefit.
But wherever you go in the world, you can find
country music that has been produced here in
America.
Country music began in the southern states
around the 1920s and has continually gained
popularity ever since. I'm surprised that
Yankees will even listen to country music
because most of it's about the South and Dixie
and things of that nature, so I'm surprised that
people in other places even listen to it because
sometimes some of the country music is critical
of some of the other places around the country
