How to Cut / Copy and Paste Using Shortcuts
Cut: Use the shortcut, CTRL + X.
Copy: Use the shortcut, CTRL + C.
Paste: Use the shortcut, CTRL + V.
NB: You have to select the text or object before using the Cut and Copy
Shortcuts. Otherwise the shortcuts will not work.
NB:
Copy-and-Paste is appropriate when data that has already been
inputted has to be duplicated (copied) in another part of the same
document or in another document.
Cut-and-Paste is appropriate when data that has already been
inputted has to be moved/ transferred to another part of the same
document or to another document.
Drag and drop
The drag-and-drop method of moving items allows you to move selected text
and graphics using your mouse.
To drag and drop:
1. Select the item you wish to move.
2. Place the mouse pointer anywhere on the selected items without
clicking.
3. Click and hold the left mouse button until the insertion point changes
into a white arrow pointing up to the left.
4. Drag the selected text to its new location.
