Congratulations are words expressing praise for an achievement or good wishes on a
special occasion. Saying congratulations is one of the best ways to late a person know that
you proud of him.
The social functions of the expression:

 To express our happiness or positive feelings about their success, and also to maintain
good relationship among friends, classmate, fellow workers, collages, etc.
