he Khurda Road-Bhubaneswar branch congratulates Wendel Redden on being felicitated by Parichaya for
his contribution in music to the Odia film industry.
Wendel is the youngest son of Randolf and Brenda Redden of Jatni. As a young lad, he had a passion for music and would travel
every week to Calcutta to learn music. After graduating in music from Trinity College, Calcutta (an affiliate of Trinity College, London), he began his musical career and joined Delhi Public School, Bhubaneswar, as a music teacher. He has been there for more than a decade and has brought many laurels to the school through his music. A few years ago, he received the fastest drummer award at a music fest in Mumbai.
Wendel is also the proprietor of Abyss School of Music, Patia, Bhubaneswar. The school is the first and only music school in Odisha to host the Trinity College exams, which allows students to attain Trinity College certification.
We wish Wendel all the best and hope he receives many more awards.
this show and made it a success.
Dominic Carrison is a role model
Our branch is filled with pride as one of our member, Dominic Carrison, was selected
by ISR (Individual Social Responsibility) to lead a team and spread awareness about acid attacks and the illegal sale of acid.
Dominic is also a member of a motor sports club at Bhubaneswar and took part in a
bike rally to spread awareness against acid attacks, ban the sale of acid, and in support of the acid victims who have opened a cafe in Agra—Sheroes Cafe near the Taj Mahal. He had
also taken part in
the Distinguished Gentleman’s ride in September 2018 in aid of prostate cancer in men.
The campaign against acid attacks (between 3 December 2018 and 26 January
2019) covered every district of Orissa. The campaign teams were supported by the Odisha Police, who provided escorts to them wherever they went. The campaign ended on Republic Day with a mass bike rally— over a hundred bikers went from Barabati Stadium, Cuttack to Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar, where a mega event was held in aid of the acid victims. Dominic was felicitated and received a certificate and memento.
The Khurda Road-Bhubaneswar branch congratulates him on taking part in these awareness drives and doing a great job towards society. We wish him all success in his life.
