Sale Information
Terms and Conditions
1. CWHBA is proceeding with an Online Auction, in partnership with ClipMyHorse, to actively bid, bidders are required to register. Please see steps under bidder registration
2. Each horse will be sold to the highest bidder as determined by the auction site. The decision is final. The auction site along with the sale administration act as agents for the seller but assume no responsibility for either buyer or seller.
3. The Auction house reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
4. The sale committee reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
5. All horses are sold as is. Right of recourse must be directed to the seller and not
to CWHBA or Sale Management.
6. A sale by auction is complete in a staggered closing sequence starting with Lot 0
7. A sale by auction is complete once the timer has completed for the Lot number.
8. Sellers are permitted to place reserve bids at their sole discretion
9. CWHBA, and ClipMyHorse auction staff and volunteers accept no responsibility or
liability for injury or damage to persons, horses or equipment
10. Prospective buyers will be permitted to ride undersaddle horses for tryouts at the sole discretion of the seller. Buyers may contact sellers directly to arrange in
person viewing of horses.
12. TERMS OF SALE ARE CASH, and payment in full must be made by bank draft
or wire transfer within 48 hours of the close of the sale (or as arranged with the
Sale Administrator)
13. GST will be charged on horses sold according to Canadian law.
14. The Sale Management will withhold registration papers until the buyer’s cheque
clears the bank. At such time, all documents will be processed for transfer to the
buyer. The seller will pay all transfer fees, according to Canadian law.
15. Should the buyer fail to comply in any respect with all conditions above, the Sale Management may, at its discretion, pursue any remedy available against the defaulting buyer, including, but not limited to, taking possession of the horse(s) and resale of the horse(s) at public auction or by private treaty for account of the defaulter. In such a case, the defaulter shall be liable for any deficit in the account after payment of all costs of maintenance and resale, attorney fees, costs of
litigation, and damages available to seller by law.
