Sire: Quasimodo’s sire is the well-known Heartbreaker, producer of multiple interna- tional jumpers and approved stallions. Grand sire is the valuable stallion Lys de Darmen. His full brother Action Breaker was 11th at the WEG in Kentucky and placed 3rd in the Aachen Grand Prix. Quasimodo van de Molendreef has been a Grand Prix jumper with both David Jobertie and Jaime Azcarraga. He won the Grand Prix of Lons le Saunier, was 3rd in the GP of Vigo, 4th in the finals of the Sires of the World in Den Bosch, 2nd in the Sires of the World in Mechelen etc. Offspring of Quasimodo van de Molendreef are suc- cessful in sport. The best known is Hello Sanctos, who, ridden by Scott Brash, held the
#1 position in world show jumper rankings. Hello Sanctos wrote history by winning the Rolex Grand Slam and earning the 1-million-euro Grand Slam bonus. In addition, Hello Sanctos was two-time victor in the Global Champions Tour; won team gold at the Olympic Games in London 2012; Team Gold and Individual Bronze in the European Championships in Herning 2013, etc. The BWP Studbook has honored Quasimodo van de Molendreef as ‘Ambassador’.
Dam: Purchased to be a career broodmare, Lanfear has been a super producer who never disappoints with her offspring. She is by Landor S who was an outstanding sport horse. He was “Bundeschampion” of 6-year-old jumpers in 1997, and was later named
Oldenburg “Sire of the Year” and was victorious in show jumping classes up to 1.50m. A talented jumper, his greatest legacy is that of his offspring including: Laertes, Landwerder and Lagoheidor. A strong motherline represented by Licensed stallions Cador, Campitello, Lambrusco Ask, Kumano, Diamant de Plaisir and Diamant de Landor. Damsire Voltaire
is the result of crossing two outstanding bloodlines: Furioso II and Gotthard. Furioso II produced 200 state premium mares and at least 70 approved stallions. One can easily say that Furioso II has influenced the breeding industry worldwide. This line is filled with top names like Le Mexico. The dam’s sire Gotthard is almost a legend in German sports horse breeding. Voltaire was the sire with the most offspring at the Olympic Games of Atlanta in 1996. Moreover the world famous Voltaire is second on the World Breeding Ranking of Showjumping Sires.
