  This correct, handsome colt comes with a performance pedigree. He is inquisitive, play- ful and will be sensitive and sensible with a little bit of blood. Love the colt, but have no where to let him grow up? All of our foals can stay at Alborak for $200/month or $2,000/ year which includes board and farrier. They grow up in a group of young horses on mountain pastures. If you choose to take him home, he will be weaned and ready to go December 1, 2021.
Sire: Proven performance, soundness, and longevity. At 18 years of age, Belshazzar is still sound and competing in the 1.20m and 1.30m jumpers as well as the Intermediate level of eventing. Covid has prevented him from participating in the Advanced level of eventing and the FEI divisions. Pre-covid, he successfully completed numerous FEI classes up the CCI4* level in eventing.
He is by the KWPN stallion Beach Boy. Beach Boy is sired by Nurzeus whose offspring have earned more than 3.5million DM. His dam is by the equally famous Lucky Boy xx. Beach Boy’s impressive pedigree is confirmed by his performance and breeding results in Germany, Holland, and Sweden.
Belshazzar’s dam (Aphrodite) is the full sister to the dam of Buenos Aires (Amphora). Buenos Aires was the first Canadian Warmblood to participate in Eventing at the Olympics in 2008.

Dam: Isabella III is a young mare who started a successful show career before COVID... Belisarius is her first foal. Her sire is Irco Mena who sired 12 approved sons and numerous 1.60m jumpers including So What, Snowman, Zixten, Nick of Diamonds, Question Time, and Sultan V (2012 Olympic team jumping bronze medal). He also produced several top Eventers: Eveready, I.M.Electric, and Wega (2012 Olympic individual silver medal). Irco Mena is by Irco Marco who was the leading jumper sire in Sweden for numerous years. His dam is the Irish mare Ballymena Park. Her sire Menelek was a leading sire of jump- ers in England and Ireland. Her maternal sire, Battle Burn, was the sire of Eddie Macken’s Boomerang. Battle Burn also sired Lochinvar who won eventing Olympic gold and sil-
ver. Her dam is Lavita (Leomedon x Florestan I) is very closely related to Steffen Peters Olympic mount, Legolas (Leomedon x Florestan II). Leomedon is by the famous Lauries Crusador xx, a TB who was used extensively in Germany for producing international dres- sage horses.
