Everything about Daphne says “top show jumping potential !” Whether it’s her solid con- formation, impressive lineage, or strong work ethic, it’s hard not to imagine her becoming a high level show jumper. This striking mare, has a very powerful stride that is light and well balanced. Her uphill canter produces good jumping technique with plenty of scope. She has a very developed topline for her age, with supple movement and a soft mouth. Daphne’s endless potential is not surprising, considering her sire and Dam’s sire, are among the top four producers of show jumping horses in the world. Her sire, Diamant de Semilly, is ranked 2nd, while Mylord Carthago has a 4th place World Breeding Federation ranking.
Well traveled for a four year old, Daphne made a trip to Florida in January 2021. During her 3 month visit she was started under saddle and by the end of March was school-
ing 1.00m fences with ease. This quick learner enjoys working and learning new things. She’s extremely affectionate and always trying to please her rider. July was then spent in Michigan, where she was exposed to the hectic horse show scene. She confidently hacked around the show grounds and boldly weaved her way through the crowded school-
ing rings. With this exposure she has become cooperative with the farrier, easy to clip, comfortable in the wash bay, and confident traveler. Needless to say, Daphne is ready for someone to take her on a journey to becoming a show jumping star.
Sire: Diamant de Semilly is a true superstar. He is one of the most sought after sires in the world and is currently, without a doubt, the best French stallion. Diamant has estab- lished himself as a preeminent living sire of show jumping horses. He was an exceptional show jumper, and now he is passing along to his offspring his wonderful canter, strength, balance, his great mind and uncommon suppleness. Diamant’s progeny have wonder-
ful jumping technique, a strong back, and endless scope. Since 2013, he has remained in the top 5 WBFSH jumping sire rankings, being either 1st or 2nd place from from 2015 onwards.
Dam: “Ultrago de Amy” was a competitive show jumper herself. Competing all the
way up to a 1.40m level and winning competitions in France, United States and world renowned Spruce Meadows. Her sire, Mylord Carthago, was a former superstar of the French show jumping team. Now he is acknowledged as a star in the breeding world, being ranked 4th in the world by the WBFSH. He contributed to French team victories in Aachen, Rome, La Baule and Gijon as well as being successful in the Olympic Games of London. “Amy” acquired his quality canter, carefulness, and strength.
