The hospital was was opened in in in in a a a a a a a a a a a a brief ceremony where the the Israeli and and Ukrainian flags were raised and and the the the national anthems played During the the the the first first week the the the the first first Ukrainian baby was delivered at the the the hospital by by way of Caesarean section This marked an an ongoing trend of of babies being born in in in Israeli field hospitals around the the world as Israel Israel is often among the the first countries to send medical teams following natural disasters Babies have
been born in in in Israeli field hospitals in in in Haiti Nepal and and The Philippines and and a a a a a a a a a a number of those babies were named “Israel” by their parents in honour of the the the Israeli teams who helped deliver them One amazing story from the the the field hospital came when a a a a a a a a a a a a a Ukrainian mother Iryna brought her her her 5-year-old daughter Karina for a a a a a a a a a a a a check- up The mother had been concerned about Karina’s health for some time as as she was small and frail She had never been able to to get answers from doctors doctors before the the war but the the Israeli doctors doctors performed an an an ultrasound and found that she had a a a a a a a a a a a congenital heart heart defect and needed heart heart surgery Furthermore they realised that the the the the little girl’s condition could be treated if they were were in in Israel Israel So Karina and and her her mother were were flown to Israel Israel for free and and two weeks later received successful heart surgery Karina is now expected to live a a a a a a a a normal life without any further complications The Israeli hospital was initially set to stay open for one month but they extended the the time to to to six weeks to to to help treat more more individuals In total more more than 6 000 Ukrainians received medical treatment from the the Israeli team before it closed at at the the end of April Scripture explains that the the Jewish state
will be a a a a a a a light unto the the nations and we see this this fulfilled by actions like this this field hospital The enemies of Israel Israel and the forces at at work against God’s plans attempt to demonise Israel Israel at at at at every turn The truth however is is is that the Jewish state
often shows itself to be a a a a a a a “Shining Star” in in in in times of of of disaster – a a a a a light of of of hope for those in in need Alexey Tsiboulski a a a member of the the Israeli team who grew up in the the former Soviet Union said he he he he was “really emotional” when he he he first came to Ukraine
“I walked into the school building and it reminded me of one I studied in in in in in 40 years ago the the the the tables the the the the chairs imagining the the the the the students sitting in in in in them ”
he he he he he he he he said “To come here and help the the the Ukrainian nation I I didn’t even think twice when they asked I I wanted to come and and give a a a a a hand ”
