Page 15 - Britains Stand With Israel - For Zion's Sake
P. 15
When the United Nations Human Rights Council takes so much time to discuss and condemn Israel whilst ignoring real human rights abuses it is failing in its mission to protect

the world’s most vulnerable people.
It is unlikely the UN can
be reformed anytime soon, but regardless of how biased the UN is, we are more concerned with the actions of the UK government and its voting record at the UN. And our nation’s track record is shameful to say the least.
For example, on 13 December 2019, the UN condemned Israel 8 times in a single day. The United Kingdom voted “Yes” on 7 of those resolutions and abstained on the eighth.
The UN’s anti-Israel bias is sadly expected, but the fact the UK keeps agreeing with these anti-Semitic condemnations is a disgrace.
Therefore, CUFI UK will be doing all we can in pressuring our Government to take a strong stand in support for Israel at the UN.
Until Agenda Item 7 is removed, the United Kingdom should boycott these meetings or at least be voting “No” by default on all of the resolutions raised in these meetings.
What’s more, the UK should have the boldness to be standing up for our cherished ally and not bowing down to the anti-Israel 'mob mentality' that exists at the UN. This will take strong leadership, but we believe the UK can change its way, especially as it breaks free from the restrictive reins the EU
voting bloc.
At CUFI we will be pressuring
our Foreign Minister and the Foreign Office. We will petition our UN Ambassadors and let them know that Israel MUST stand with Israel at the United Nations. This means the UK’s foreign policy must change regarding Israel.
Until Britain backs Israel to the hilt at the UN, we will not release the pressure.

TAKE ACTION
The United Nations is a hotbed of anti-Israel bias, but the world-renowned arena has also been the setting for some of the most outspoken defences of Israel, including from CUFI leadership and friends of CUFI, like Nikki Haley, Danny Danon and Richard Kemp. See the latest at www.cufi.org.uk/UN
