the night away. Rhonda has
lived in SCCL since October
2011. She was a classically
trained pianist who performed
in competition at Carnegie Hall
as a teenager. She attended the
Berklee College of Music, where
her focus turned more to jazz,
popular music and songwriting.
She has performed professionally for many years.

U.S. National Whitewater Center – Bus Trip
Sunday, July 8, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., $110 pp
SCCL Lifestyle and LTE Travel present our first trip to the US National Whitewater Center. The day pass is
the best way to experience all that the USNWC has to offer. This pass allows access to available activities on the day of your visit. Activities available are kayaking, paddle boarding, rock climbing, ziplines, ropes courses, jumps, and hiking trails. Whitewater rafting is available, but signups are required (price includes transportation and all activities). Lunch will be on your own; however, there are several great restaurants to choose from. Seagrove Pottery – Bus Trip
Saturday, July 28, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., $65 pp
Enjoy a Deluxe Motor Coach ride from the Lake House to Seagrove, NC. The Town of Seagrove is considered “The Handmade Pottery Capital of the United States,”
and people visit from as far away as China and Australia, not to mention each of the 50 states. Collecting pottery is nothing new, but in the last dozen years or so, it has turned into a must-do if you’re into supporting the arts and creating fun bucket list adventures. There are now more than 100 individual potters to visit and collect from in the Seagrove area. Price includes tours and lunch. The Art Connection, a new group of five SCCL artists, all members of Art in the City, are putting on their inaugural Fine Art Exhibition in the Lake House Walk Track. All are invited to The Show Debut on Saturday, September 1 from 7 to 9 p.m. There will be refreshments and
entertainment by the “Just Right Combo.” The art will
be displayed through
the end of September.
