38 Sustainability Loomis Annual Report 2017
Sustainability
The role as one of the world’s leading cash handling companies requires responsible behavior for the long term. For Loomis responsible behavior means creating lasting value for customers, employees and owners – today and in the future. These values are encompassed in three main areas, all of which need to be balanced in order to achieve long-term sustainability, involving economic responsibility, environmental protection and social responsibility.
In 2017 Loomis developed a conscious and structured way to work on sustainability. A platform has been created to determine how this work will be done and which targets are to be reached in the period 2018–2021. In addition to common goals, Loomis is conti-
nuing to encourage local initiatives that support the Company’s values and promote the development of key competencies and le- adership skills, reduced environmental impact and high ethical and moral standards.
