6.3 PERSONAL MOBILE PHONES
The general use of mobile phones or other hand-held devices during working hours is prohibited. The
inappropriate use of mobile phones imperils employees’ ability to recognise and react to hazards, such
as passing forklifts, moving parts, electrical hazards and industrial processes, etc.

On client sites, it may be necessary for installation crews to carry their mobile phones, so they can be
contacted on work-related matters and for the purpose of documenting on-site progress or
               defects/client queries.
               6.3.1 Mobile Phone Policy

Company mobile phones are allocated to staff based on the needs of the company.

The mobile phone will be provided with a case and charger and these have to be returned on
               request/or when leaving the company.

Each person is entitled to have 3 repairs to their mobile within a 5 year period. If the handset is
beyond repair, authorisation from senior management will be required to purchase a new handset.
If the damage is deemed to have been through neglect then the person may be held responsible for
               the cost of the repair.

Security : Users must ensure their Company’s mobile phone device is protected at all times. As a
minimum, all mobile phone devices must be protected by a Personal Identification Number (PIN).
Where it is technically possible the mobile phone device must be password protected and all
passwords must be advised to the office.

Users must take all reasonable steps to prevent damage or loss to their mobile phone device. This
includes not leaving it in view in an unattended vehicle and storing it securely when not in use.

Lost or stolen mobile phone devices: Users must report all lost or stolen mobile phone devices to
               the mobile phone administrator immediately.
