9 2 Mandatory Conditions to to be observed in Gymnasiums and and Fitness Centres9
The Superintendent of Public Health has ordered that all all gymnasiums and fitness centres shall implement the following measures:
1 Exercise the the the right of of of refusal of of of entry into the the the gym/fitness centre of of of clients if they have have a a a a a a a temperature over 37 2C are visibly unwell or or have respiratory symptoms 2 2 Ensure that that maximum capacity of of clients and and staff that that the gym/fitness centre can hold at at at at at any one one time is 1 1 1 person person per per per 6 square metres and and and must not exceed a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a total total of of of 75 persons Allow only (1) (1) client and and one one (1) (1) member of of staff in a a a a a a a a a a a a a a gym/fitness centre with at total total area less than 6 square metres 3 3 3 Ensure that inside the the the gym/fitness centre every person keeps a a a a a a a a a a a minimum of 3 3 3 metres metres metres from others Where the the the machines machines cannot be be be separated by 3 3 3 metres metres alternate machines machines need to to be be be cordoned off to ensure a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a minimum 3 3 metre metre metre separation between between clients Alternatively acrylic screens or or tempered glass barriers of of at at at at least 2 metre metre height may be be be erected between between the the the machines to separate the the the clients 4 Affix visible signage at at at at at the the the the the the entrance of the the the the the the gym/fitness centre indicating the the the the the the maximum capacity that the the the the facility can hold at at at at any one time 5 Indicate with visible markings outside and inside the the gym two (2) metre distances that that clients shall respect whilst queuing or waiting to enter 6 Provide an an an an an an an appropriate 70% alcohol hand-rub at at at the the the entrance entrance of the the the facility and and and ensure that all persons sanitise their hands prior to entrance entrance 7 Acrylic screens or or or tempered glass barriers must be fitted in reception areas (2 metres high from the the floor) (If this

Ensure that all gym equipment changing rooms toilets and and showers are cleaned and and disinfected by staff staff every hour 9 Ensure that clients and staff staff always wear a a a a a a a a a a a face face mask or or face face visor whilst inside gym/fitness centre when not exercising 10 Provide appropriate 70% 70% alcohol alcohol cleaning cleaning wipes or or or 70% 70% alcohol alcohol spray and and disposable paper towels for for use by clients for for the cleaning cleaning of equipment and and mats 11 Group sessions must must not exceed 8
