Did you know that Madoc is the home of the Quinte Society for Chamber Music, a regional registered charity? Locally
founded and run, QSCM has been bringing live performances of classical music by professional ensembles directly to your

Despite the disruptions of pandemic, economic downturn and even invasion by tree-chomping caterpillars, QSCM is thriving.
We continue to realize our mandate. Currently our volunteers are working hard a planning our fifth All Terrain Tour,
bringing the Madoc Quartet, a Toronto based professional string quartet to our community Labour Day Weekend, and many
other exciting initiatives.
All of this happens because a handful of local people believe that classical music should not be reserved for those with deep
pockets who can afford expensive concert tickets and the excursion to Toronto. Community support is essential to our
success; volunteers are the backbone of our organization. I’d like to invite anyone interested in getting involved to join us in
our work. There are lots of things to do, from helping at events, delivering flyers, provisioning our professional guests to
taking on an administrative role. Our current most pressing need is for a bookkeeper and/or treasurer/secretary which is
not as big of a job as it seems because we all help. At the same time, we make room for new ideas and new ways of doing
things. Whatever level of commitment you feel comfortable making, whatever task you’d like to take on, we welcome your
contribution.

ANCHOR OF HOPE PREGNANCY AND FAMILY CARE CENTRE
A HUGE thank you to everyone who came to the CHILOUP to support the Anchor of Hope Pregnancy and Family Care
Centre. We met our goal - and then some!!! God is so gracious & kind! Thanks again to everyone who brought & bid on
desserts - we are so grateful. An anonymous donor has generously offered to be a MATCH DONOR for our Chiloup
Fundraiser. Any & all dessert auction bids and donations given at the event will be matched up to $10,000. 100% of the
funds raised at the event will go directly to Anchor of Hope Pregnancy and Family Care Centre - we are so grateful for our
generous & supportive community!
