       Written by: Canadian Armed Forces

“It’s all about the way we can make a contribution to Canadians’ and North Americans’
safety and security by interrupting the flow of illicit trafficking in the region.” -
       Lieutenant-Commander Maude Ouellet-Savard.
Op CARIBBE is Canada’s participation in the U.S. – led enhanced counter-narcotics
operations in the Caribbean Sea and the eastern Pacific Ocean. This year marks a
historic occasion. For the first time since the mission started in 2006, Royal Canadian
Navy ships deployed from the Pacific coast, HMCS Brandon and HMCS Saskatoon are
      commanded by exceptional female commanders.
